2 appear in VW Common Pleas Court

Two hearings were held Tuesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Erica Hatfield, 29, of Middle Point, changed her plea to guilty to a charge of trafficking in heroin, a felony of the fifth degree, and also to a specification that she used a 1999 GMC Jimmy vehicle to commit the offense.

Retired Judge Charles D. Steele ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 14.

Justin Taylor, 29, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and his treatment in lieu of conviction program by failing to report to the probation office.

Judge Steele continued the case until 9 a.m. July 14.
