Muriel H. Hagerty

Muriel H. Hagerty, 89, of Van Wert and formerly of Long Island, New York, died at 7:54 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born October 5, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Harold Weir and Genevieve (Koschull) Weir Budde, who both preceded her in death. She married Timothy Hagerty, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a niece and four nephews.

Two brothers, Robert Weir and Gerald F. “Jerry” Weir, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
