The Lady Knights softball team is moving along strong into the end of the season. They had the 2005 state champions’ ten-year reunion last Saturday which was a success. The softball girls won the NWC conference title and are coming close to tournament and will play the winner of Delphos Jefferson and Lima Perry on Thursday, May 14 at Crestview.

The baseball team played Van Wert at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne last Saturday. The outcome was not what they expected, but it was a good experience for the team. They have turned up their focus and preparation the second half of the season by being the conference champions. They are moving toward tournament and play the winner of Marion Local and New Knoxville at Crestview on May 13. Junior Colby Clifton said, “The tournament is just around the corner and I think we have improved a lot from the beginning of the year, and we plan on making a tournament run.”

The Knights have been working hard on finishing the year. AP testing started at the beginning of this week and will be finished at the end of next week. Senior Taylor Hughes said, “I took the AP test last year for English and it was very hard, but I believe it has benefitted me for my future.”  These tests give students college credit, so they can prove to be very beneficial.
