James R. Sadler

James R. “Jim” Sadler, 75, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born December 16, 1939, in Fort Jennings, the son of Arthur Eugene and Ida M. (Fishbach) Sadler, who both preceded him in death. On October 14, 1967, he married Helen K. (Grothaus) Sadler, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include a daughter, Jamie (Ben) Rahrig of Delphos; one sister, Ida Jean “Rene” Caron of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Five brothers, Kenneth, Thomas, Donald, Wilber and Richard Sadler; and three sisters, Rosemary Duncan, Lucille Liccata and Mildred Wornament, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Ron Schock officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 that evening.
