The Knights kicked off the weekend with plenty of events. Friday evening held the Empty Bowl Fundraiser, put on by the Crestview Art Club, as well as the Peony Pageant with Crestview’s own Taylor Hughes.

The Peony Pageant began promptly at 7:30 p.m. at the Marsh Foundation. There were seven contestants from the surrounding schools including Bailey Krol from Vantage Career Center, Rachel Green from Parkway, Laurel Wehrkamp from Paulding, Schylar Miller from Spencerville, Mackenzie Alba from Van Wert, Baylee Neate from Lincolnview, and Taylor Hughes from Crestview. The girls competed against each other with various talents including singing, dancing, and one speech. Schylar Miller was crowned Queen Jubilee XL late that evening. All of the girls competed well and Crestview is proud of the representation from Taylor Hughes.

Crestview Track and Field got off to another great start this past weekend with their first official home meet of the season. Due to unfortunate weather circumstances last week, their first scheduled home meet was cancelled. Saturday, April 11, however, went well. The meet began at 11 a.m. with LCC. The meet ran smoothly and ended around 1 p.m..

Crestview Baseball also had a round of games to be played on Saturday. They began the day with a noon start and both games scheduled against Kalida. The first game was hard fought, but the Knights fell to the Bulldogs in the eighth inning. The second game the Knights regained their honor by pulling through with a win also in the eighth inning. This currently puts the Knights with a 1-4 record for the season.
