VW independent/submitted information

DELPHOS — Delphos police and agents from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force recently executed a search warrant at a suspected drug house located at 610 W. Wayne St. in Delphos.

Officers, including members of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Van Wert County sheriff’s deputies and Delphos police, searched the home at approximately 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Found inside the residence were suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected drug abuse instruments, namely hypodermic syringes.

No arrests were made at the scene; however, the case involving suspected drug sales from the residence would be forwarded to the Van Wert County Prosecutor’s Office for its review.

In addition, Van Wert County Children’s Services was contacted because of unsanitary conditions in the house and will be removing juveniles from the home. A caseworker also opened an investigation into highly unsanitary living conditions at the residence, as well as suspected drug activity occurring within the home.

The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force is made up of officers from the Van Wert, Allen and Paulding County sheriff’s offices, the Lima Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol and several state and federal agencies.
