Police, ATF agents raid Delphos home

DELPHOS — Delphos police officers, along with agents from the Toledo Division of the federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency (ATF), executed a federal search warrant Thursday on a Delphos residence looking for weapons in the possession of a convicted felon.

The search took place at approximately 9 a.m. at a residence in the 200 block of Holland Avenue. Located inside the residence were two firearms and numerous rounds of ammunition.

The 40-year-old male suspect was cooperative with officers and came to the Delphos Police Department for further questioning. He confessed that the firearms and ammunition were his.

At this point, the case will be reviewed by a federal prosecutor out of the United States District Attorney’s Office in Toledo to determine what, if any, charges are appropriate.

The suspect’s name was not released pending the filing of charges in the case.
