Glenn A. Neer

Glenn A. Neer, 83, of Middle Point, died at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

He was born February 25, 1931, in Middle Point, the son of Hugh A. and Mamie (Johnson) Neer, who both preceded him in death. He married M. Joann (Baer) Neer, who survives in Middle Point.

Other survivors include a daughter, Kimala Strickler of Middle Point; one sister, Peggy (Robert) Etgen of Middle Point; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Merkle Neer and Harold Neer; a sister, Helen Hoghe; two stepgrandchildren; and a son-in-law, Barry Strickler, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Harry Tolhurst officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 23, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
