Why cook on a Friday evening before a basketball game, when you can get a great meal and help support a great cause? The Lincolnview Local Education Association is hosting a Scholarship Chicken Dinner to help support the scholarships currently provided to your students. The LLEA currently provides three $1,000 scholarships that are renewable for a second year. So each year the LLEA supports Lincolnview graduates with a total of $6000 a year to further their education. So come out before the boys’ basketball game on Jan. 30 against Delphos Jefferson and help support the scholarship fund. Dinners will be served from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria (eat-in or carryout). The menu will include: one-half of a smoked chicken, green beans, scalloped potatoes, cookies and drinks. The cost for each dinner is $7.50. You can eat in or carry out. Remember, it is also FAN night, so get here early!

Attention parents and guardians, the Ohio Department of Education has recently changed the requirements for earning a high school diploma.  These changes will affect the class of 2018 (current freshman) and beyond.  The major change is the accumulation of graduation points that are earned through performance on the End of Course Exams, rather than passing the Ohio Graduation Test.

To assist you in understanding these changes, our Guidance Counselor, Brenda Leeth, and Deb Stetler will host two informational meetings to explain the new graduation requirements.  The meetings will be held on Jan. 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. in the lecture hall.  The same information will be presented at both meetings. Please choose the meeting that works best for your schedule.

If you have a son or daughter that is a current freshman, or younger; this meeting will provide you with the most up-to-date information regarding the new changes.  If you have any questions, like always feel free to contact me at 419.968.2214 or email at bmendenhall@lincolnview.k12.oh.us.
