Boone to replace ‘Love Letters’ at NPAC

Niswonger PAC information

Legendary singer, actor, TV host, producer, author, motivational speaker, TV pitchman, radio personality and humanitarian Pat Boone will be coming to Van Wert to perform at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m.

His show, “Music & Memories: An Evening with Pat Boone”, will replace Love Letters, starring Hal Linden and Barbara Eden, which was scheduled for the same date as part of the Community Concert Series. That show was canceled when Linden took a job with a show he hopes will be going to Broadway in the near future and had to back out of his Van Wert performance and future engagements.

Boone, the 10th leading artist for most top chart Hits from 1955-1996, according to music industry’s Billboard magazine, has five decades of recording history behind him and a busy future ahead. Boone owns his own record company, The Gold Label, designed for legendary artists of a certain age and certifiable talent (all with million-selling gold records to their credit). Artists such as Glen Campbell, Jack Jones, Patti Page, Cleo Lane, Sha Na Na and others are part of his label.

Boone has also involved himself in a couple personal projects: “For My Country,” a musical acknowledgement to the National Guard that Boone wrote himself and regards as a follow-up to his Pledge of Allegiance pitch, “Under God,” recorded a couple years ago, which became Boone’s 61st hit record.

Today, Boone can be heard on two nationally syndicated radio shows, “The Music of Your Life” and “The Pat Boone Show,” which features contemporary gospel music. His personally written columns appear weekly on WorldNetDaily.com and NewsMax.com, fearlessly embracing politics, religion, and timely causes that catch his attention.

“Music & Memories: An Evening with Pat Boone” is a show that he tours all over the country, sharing his music over the years, along with video of his career that includes 14 movies and numerous TV show appearances with the likes of such stars as Ann-Margaret, James Mason, Debby Reynolds, and Tony Curtis.

Since “Music & Memories: An Evening with Pat Boone” is replacing Love Letters as part of the Community Concert Series, ticket holders for either the Community Concert Series or the individual show tickets for Love Letters will automatically be honored for Boone’s show.

The Community Concert Series is presented by Vancrest Health Care Centers and sponsored by Delphos Hearing Aid Center, Central Insurance Companies, Taylor Auto Sales Inc., Slusher’s Jewelry and Tuxedo, and Van Wert County Hospital.
