Marjorie I. Baker

Marjorie I. Baker, 95, of Van Wert, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born November 18, 1918, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late George and Flossie (Beckner) Cryer. On November 25, 1942, she married Hary E. Baker, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2014.

A daughter, Judith A. Merkle; and two brothers, E. Wayne Cryer and Robert G. Cryer, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or a charity of donor’s choice.
