Carport/vehicle fire

A vehicle that caught on fire in a carport at a residence in the 600 block of West Main Street Friday morning destroyed the vehicle and led to extensive damage of the carport as well. Van Wert firefighters responded to a call that came in at 10:55 a.m. Friday at 624 W. Main St. and quickly extinguished both the vehicle and carport fires.
