Lancer boys win Wayne Trace CC meet

Lincolnview cross country news

HAVILAND — The Lincolnview Lancer cross country teams competed at the Wayne Trace Invitational on Tuesday evening.

The boys’ team won the meet with a score of just 43 points and were paced by Bayley Tow, who placed third overall. Tow was followed closely by teammates Ben Bilimek (fourth), Alex Rodriguez (sixth), Travis Lippi (12th), and Colton Snyder (20th).  The girls’ team placed seventh overall and were led by Anna Gorman, who placed fourth in the race.

“I was very proud of the kids.  The conditions were challenging, but we did not allow that to deter us from our goals.  I really liked how the boys stepped up in that we were missing two of our top seven.  We definitely took a step forward and I hope that we can continue to improve as the season moves along.  I like where we are right now.”
