Board of Elections has new information

Per the direction of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, effective Monday and until further notice, the Van Wert County Board of Elections Office will be open with limited staff and hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Board of Elections staff members will be available to answer telephone questions voters may have or assist voters wanting information on an absentee ballot application for voting by mail in regards to the March 17 election that has been suspended until June 2. The phone number is 419.238.4192.

For those wanting to drop off an application, the Elections Board office has a secure drop-off box on the Jennings Road side of the building, by the large overhead garage door, that staff will check daily.
