Boys hoops: OHSAA sectional pairings set

Boys sectional/district tournament basketball draws were held on Sunday afternoon. Opening round pairings, sectional championship games, dates, times and locations are listed below.

Division II ONU district

Van Wert was seeded No. 7 and will face No. 9 seed Wapakoneta at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, at Paulding High School. The winner will play No. 3 seed Defiance in the sectional championship game at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, February 28 at Paulding High School, with the winner of that game advancing to district competition at Ohio Northern University.

6:15 p.m.– No. 10 seed Napoleon vs. No. 11 seed Celina
8 p.m. – No. 6 Kenton vs. No. 8 Elida

February 28 at Lima Sr.

6:15 p.m. – Napoleon/Celina winner vs. No. 1 seed Shawnee
8 p.m. – No. 4 Wauseon vs. Kenton/Elida winner

February 26 at Paulding

7 p.m. – No. 7 Van Wert vs. No. 9 Wapakoneta

February 28 at Paulding

6:15 p.m. – Van Wert/Wapakoneta winner vs. No. 3 Defiance
8 p.m. – No. 2 St. Marys Memorial vs. No. 5 Bryan

Division IV Elida district

Lincolnview earned the No. 5 seed and will play No. 6 seed Miller City at 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, at Van Wert High School. The winner will No. 4 seed Kalida or No. 13 seed Patrick Henry for the sectional championship and a spot in the Elida district.

Crestview was seeded No. 8 and will play No. 7 seed Leipsic at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, at Bluffton University. The winner will face No. 3 seed Delphos St. John’s for the sectional championship at 6:15 p.m. Friday, February 26, at Bluffton, with the winner advancing to Elida.

February 26 at Bluffton University

6:15 p.m. – No. 8 Crestview vs. No. 7 Leipsic
8 p.m. – No. 10 Ada vs. No. 12 Fort Jennings

February 28 at Bluffton University

6:15 p.m. – Crestview/Leipsic winner vs. No. 3 Delphos St. John’s
8 p.m. – Ada/Fort Jennings winner vs. No. 1 Columbus Grove

In the Division IV Defiance district, Antwerp earned the No. 1 seed and will face No. 13 Stryker or No. 14 Hilltop in the sectional championship game at 6:15 p.m. Friday, February 28, at Napoleon High School.

Parkway earned the No. 2 seed at the Division IV Wapakoneta district and will face No. 5 Upper Scioto Valley or No. 10 Spencerville for the sectional championship at 6:15 p.m. Friday, February 28, at Coldwater High School.

In the Division III Lima Sr. district, Wayne Trace is the No. 3 seed, elected to take a bye and will face No. 9 Fairview or No. 10 Delphos Jefferson for the sectional championship at 6:15 p.m. Friday, February 28 at Elida. Paulding is the No. 11 seed and will play No. 6 seed Lima Central Catholic at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, at Elida, with the winner moving on to face No. 2 seed Bluffton on Friday, February 28, at Elida.
