Cougar swimmers compete at WBL meet

DEFIANCE — Van Wert’s swim teams traveled to Defiance for the annual Western Buckeye League Championships on Saturday, with the Cougar boys taking fifth place, while the Lady Cougars finished ninth.

Shawnee won the boys’ championship, while Ottawa-Glandorf captured the girls’ title. Wapakoneta took runner-up for the boys and Celina finished as the runner-up in the girls events.
