Columbus Grove powers past Lincolnview

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove’s Tayt Birnesser and Blake Reynolds combined for 52 points to lead the state ranked Bulldogs (No. 12, Division IV) over Lincolnview 70-45 on Friday night.

Birnesser finished with 28 points, including seven treys, while Reynolds had 24 points and 10 rebounds. Gabe Clement also hit double digits with 10 points, and the Bulldogs finished 30 of 55 (55 percent) from the floor.

Columbus Grove (9-0, 3-0 NWC) led 14-7 after the first quarter, then expanded the lead to 33-15 at halftime and 55-37 after three quarters.

Lincolnview was led by Collin Overholt, who finished with 19 points, while Jake Bowersock tallied eight points.

The Lancers (5-5, 1-1 NWC) will travel to Miller City tonight.
