James Edward Busbey Sr.

James Edward Busbey Sr., 86, of Van Wert, died at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born May 19, 1932, in Tupelo, Mississippi, the son of Robert and Esther (Spencer) Busbey, who both preceded him in death. He married Leona Busbey, who died June 30, 2004.

Survivors include five children, James Edward Busbey Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Judy (Mike) Snyder of Harlan, Indiana, Jarris (Alan) Huck of Worden, Montana, Jack Busbey of Van Wert, and Jawonia Chrisman of Kansas City, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery near Grover Hill in Paulding County.
