Lancers fall to Coldwater

COLDWATER — Lincolnview fell behind early and went on to lose at Coldwater 4-3 in non-conference baseball action on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning and led 4-1 after three. The Lancers scored runs in the sixth and seventh and had the winning runs on base in the final inning, but couldn’t complete the rally.

Ethan Kemler scored Lincolnview’s first run, on a second inning grounder by Thad Walker.

Trailing by three runs in the sixth, Jaden Youtsey stole home, then Walker scored on a bases loaded walk in the seventh. The Lancers had runners at second and third in the final inning, but were unable to score.

The Lancers will return to Coldwater today to play Crestview in the Division IV district semifinals (7 p.m.).
