YMCA hosting New Year’s Eve lock-in

The YMCA of Van Wert County is hosting a New Year’s Eve lock-in for children in grades 2-6 with drop off beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, and pick-up Thursday, January 1, at 7:30 a.m.

The 12.5-hour event will feature activities that include Nintendo Wii games, 5-on-5 sports tournaments, swimming, crafts, and a late night movie. A pizza dinner will be provided, with extra drinks and snacks available for purchase.

Parents can expect a fun and safe environment in a fully monitored facility and an experienced staff. Children are asked to bring a positive attitude, along with their swim gear, sleeping bag, and pillow. Cost is $50 a child, with Van Wert YMCA members receiving a $10 discount for the first child and $20 per additional family member.  Pre-registration is required with a minimum of 20 kids signed up by December 21.
