Parks Dept. seeks flag football sign-ups

The Van Wert Parks Department encourages those interested in flag football and cheerleading this fall to turn in their registration forms. Registration has been extended until Friday, August 14, so turn forms in as soon as possible.

Registration forms can be obtained on the Van Wert Parks and Recreation website at www.vanwertparksrecreation.weebly.com or picked up at the Parks Department office, 137 Gleason Ave. in Van Wert.

The age groups will consist of 5-7 and 8-10 year olds. All games will be on Tuesday at Smiley Park for ages 5-7, and Thursdays for 8-10 year olds.

New this year will be the addition of a cheerleading program. The cost and age groups are the same. Fees will include a tee shirt, skirt, pom pons and socks.
