Runner visits VWES

Van Wert High School graduate, athlete and professional marathon runner Craig Leon spoke to fourth- and fifth-graders at Van Wert Elementary School about how persistence and perseverance have been the push behind his over 100 races and eight marathons thus far. He also spoke of striving to meet goals and reaching for that dream. Leon spoke of learning to love the sport of running while in Van Wert Middle School and encouraged students to be active in the VWES Roadrunners Club, and to continue to work hard at whatever they are passionate about.
