Shooting Stars 4-H Club

On March 15, the Shooting Stars 4-H club had their monthly meeting at Wee Care Day Care from 1:30-3:00 pm. There were 11 members, one guest and two advisors present. Anna Reichert took roll call. Anna Reichert led both the 4-H Pledge and The Pledge of Allegiance.
Unfinished Business:
Decide on a place to do a fundraiser, tour and community service project.
New Business:
The theme for 4-H camp is “Doors”
The theme for 2015 Fair is “On the Farm”
Advisor’s Report:
A checking account was opened.
Went over what books we wanted.
Completed information forms.
Demonstrations:
Cassidy and Regan Priest brought two horses to the day care parking lot. The showed the club how to put a saddle on a horse and what to use and how to protect the horse’s ankles.
Gracie Mull did a demonstration on how to make a lava lamp. The ingredients you need are vegetable oil, water, food coloring and Alka-Seltzer.
Recreation:
Guessing game on how many marbles were in a container. Winner – Paige Moonshower with a guess of 92 marbles and the correct number was 93 marbles.
