New 4-H club organized in VW County

A new 4-H club, Canines and Critters will meet for the first time at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, February, 12, in the Buckeye Room of the Ohio State University Extension Office. The club will continue to meet the second Thursday of each month through September.

The club specializes in all small animal projects: dogs, cats, rodents, guinea pigs, rabbits, and reptiles. 4-H members can also take any available 4-H project. The club also plans to do community service projects and offer educational speakers at meetings. In addition, members will have the opportunity to participate in a pet show to demonstrate what they have learned in their projects.

Any child age 8 and in third grade through age 18, as of January 1, who has interest in small animals is welcome to attend with their parents to learn more about the club.
