Retiring judge honored

Van Wert County Common Pleas Court Judge Charles D. Steele (front right), who retires today after 15 years on the bench, was honored Tuesday with a reception in the Common Pleas Courtroom. A large crowd was on hand to share memories with the judge, including Van Wert County Probate-Juvenile Judge Kevin Taylor and his wife, Kathy, and former Common Pleas Bailiff Dennis Kimmet, shown here with the judge.
