Donna M. Pollock, 95, of Delphos, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 5, 1919, in Paulding County, the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Little) Foust, who both preceded her in death. On December 31, 1938, she married Arlo D. Pollock, who also preceded her in death on October 31, 2001.

Survivors include three children, Arlett (Dan) Evans of Lima, and Jacqueline Roberts and Dennis (Pat) Pollock, both of Van Wert; five grandchildren, Paula (Chris) Comer, Kristy Long, Amy (Mark) Dunlap, Matthew (Rebecca) Pollock, and Eric (Michelle) Evans; 13 great-grandchildren, Keeley (Cole) Welker, Ariel Comer, Kristian Comer, Aryonna Hoghe, Brynn Hoghe, Kendall Hoghe, Reagan Dunlap, Collin Dunlap, Andrew Pollock, Catherine Pollock, Michael Pollock, Ruby Evans and Maria Evans; and two great-great-grandchildren, Keegan Comer and Hunter Welker.

A brother, Paul Foust; one sister, Mary Ellen Foust; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Pollock, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pollock retired after 23 years of working in the banking industry, having worked at several area banks. She later retired from the cash office at Elder-Beerman’s in Lima at the age of 90.

She was a founding member of the former Middle Point Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delphos.

She was a 1938 graduate of Union High School in Van Wert County, was honored as a “Flower in Full Bloom” during the Van Wert Peony Festival, had been very active in raising money for various organizations in Middle Point and Van Wert and was a longtime director of the Middle Point Telephone Company. She taught Sunday school, loved to travel and, most of all, loved her family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 4, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Harry Tolhurst officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: First Presbyterian Church in Delphos, or a charity of donor’s choice.
