Local BSA Scout Troop 35 recently relived a part of history when they participated in the camping program aboard the World War II Aircraft Carrier Yorktown in Charleston Harbor.  The troop became “shipmates” with other troops as they toured Yorktown, World War II Submarine Clamagore, and the World War II Destroyer Laffey.

Morning and evening meals were prepared and served to the scouts in the “Chief’s Mess” aboard the Yorktown for the full effect of having lived aboard a famous man-of-war.

The troop also had a great time White Water Rafting in W. Virginia on their way to the coast.
