Ohio City Blue Ribbon Workers

The Ohio City Blue Ribbon Workers met on Aug. 3.   Among items discussed were: The club’s upcoming educational trip to tour the Alspach-Gearhart funeral home on Sunday Aug. 10  (subject to change if necessary). Group members are to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m.   After the tour members and their families will meet for their yearly “ Fun-day “ on Aug. 10 at Timberwoods campground .  This will be at approx. 3 p.m.   Members are to bring swimsuits, towels, fishing poles and appetites for an afternoon of fishing, swimming , putt-putt golf followed by a pizza party in the pavilion.   Also, the 4-H is hosting a 4-H swim day party  at Camp Clay  on Aug. 13 from 6-9 p.m.  Hot dogs, shaved ice and ice cream will be free to all 4-H members.

The Van Wert 4-H talent show will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 31. If you would like to showcase your talent please pick up a form and turn it in by Aug. 29.    Presenting demonstrations at the meeting were Kole Swander (Legos ) and Kaedyn Swander (how to get rid of a tick). Swander; also, Kailey Denman demonstrated how to French-braid hair and Kasey Denman , how to clean a clarinet.    Thank you to all of the members this year for their creative and educational demonstrations!    The group also discussed the building of the fair booth for the Van Wert County Fair .  Officers were reminded to have their officer books filled out and ready to present.
