Vantage Adult Ed holds recognition event
Vantage Career Center information
On the evening of Tuesday, June 3, a number of adults took a giant step in their lives at the Vantage Recognition Ceremony.
More than 50 adult learners were recognized for completing a full-time program. They may have received a certificate for the ABLE program, or the EMT program, or the Medical Assistant program.
Those in the Industrial Automated Maintenance and CNC Operation programs not only received a certificate, but they also received several transferrable college credits through a partnership with Northwest State Community College.
It was all about the students, and guest speaker Julie Miller, director of the Business Enterprise Center at Wright State University-Lake Campus, focused on that. Her message to them: never stop learning. She also reminded students that the demand for skilled employees is higher than ever before.
“This ceremony was a great event,” said Vantage Adult Education Director Pete Prichard. “It showcases the classes and activities taking place at Vantage through Adult Education.”
Spencer Wenninger, a member of the Industrial Automated Maintenance class, spoke to his classmates and guests about his program and the teachers, and said he would always remember this class.
