Roger E. Mowry

Roger E. Mowry, 78, of Van Wert, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, November 28, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born August 22, 1935, in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late Earle and Estelle (Taylor) Mowry. He married Corrine (Jamkowski) Mowry, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two daughters, Janet (Jim) Wilson of Toledo and Jennifer (Jeff) Hyre of Findlay; one sister, Dorothy Schreiber of Warren, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Father Stan Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 3, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or the Alzheimer’s Association.
