EDGERTON — The Lancers traveled to the Edgerton Invitational on Saturday.  The boys placed second for the third invite in a row, running closely with No. 9-ranked Liberty Center.

Bayley Tow was the overall individual winner, completing the course in a career best time of 16:29 and missing the school record by only six seconds. He was followed by teammates Alex Rodriguez, who ran 17:08 and placed eighth, Ben Bilimek (11th in 17:15), Travis Lippi (24th in 18:13), and Trevor Neate (33rd in 18:33).

“We had some really solid individual performances today but are not quite there as a complete team yet.  For us to reach the goals that we set at the beginning of the season, we are going to have to get everyone running where they are capable all on the same day.  That is what the next couple of weeks will be, trying to close the gap of our pack.  However, it was still our best race of the season and that is encouraging.”

The girls’ team placed eighth and was led by Anna Gorman, who placed 19th in a time of 21:43.  She was followed by teammate Abbie Enyart, who ran a career best time of 22:54 and placed 40th.  Rounding out the scoring was Claira Rhoades, 25:12 (64th); Mikinzie Dull, 26:06 (75th); and Ryanne Ducheney, 27:33 (84th).
