County farm family featured in magazine

WILLSHIRE — A southern Van Wert County farming family is featured in the Ohio Farm Bureau’s monthly magazine.

The Schumm family is featured in the September/October issue of Our Ohio magazine for their commitment and dedication to being a quality, long-standing producer. The Schumm family has been farming in the area for 175 years. Mike and Robin Schumm, with the help of their three sons Adam, Ronnie and Brett raise hogs, chickens, cows and grain.

“The romantic view of the old time farm is the farmer that’s got a little bit of everything. Well, that’s us right now,” said Mike regarding the number of current operations taking place on the farm.
