OSU Extension taking turkey orders

For 4-H or FFA members interested in taking a turkey project to the Junior Fair this year, the time to order is now.

The Ohio State University Extension Office is now taking order through March 15. Each exhibitor can get five free poults, courtesy of Cooper Farms. Additional poults are available for order. Additional hens will be $3.25 per poult, straight run is $3.25 for each poult, and toms are $3.75 a poult.

The pick-up day for the poults will be early afternoon Friday April 19, at the Extension Office in Van Wert. Those who sign up for turkeys will receive information closer to the pick-up date.
