WCC guests learn about photography
By Rex Dolby
With a ratio of just over two members to each guest, Lori McCarter of Ohio City and Stuart and Barb Jewett of Van Wert accepted the Wassenberg Camera Club’s invitation to learn more about their equipment and photography in general at an open meeting Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Wassenberg Art Center.
The group started in a circle with general conversation and as the visitors became more comfortable expressing their questions, the circle broke in to smaller groups for more specific questions and answers. The session lasted well after 8 p.m., a good indication that there was considerable interest in the answers that were being received. Visitors were invited to practice what they had learned and bring pictures to a future meeting for a friendly critique.
The Wassenberg Camera Club’s next meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center. Still Life will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening.
If you have any questions regarding the camera club, classes or programs and would like to sign up please call the Wassenberg Art Center at: 419.238.6837, email: info@wassenbergartcenter.org or register for classes online at: wassenbergartcenter.org.
