Van Wert Police

February 27, 8:31 a.m. — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, 111 N. Shannon St., reported the theft of $381 in cash from its property.

February 27, 8:15 a.m. — A 13-year-old boy has been charged with misdemeanor theft for the theft of an MP3 player from Apple Glen Apartments, 1116 Kear Road.

February 26, 3:12 a.m. — Jessica E. Combs, 40, of 632 N. Market St., was charged with disorderly conduct while in the 200 block of East Main Street.

February 24, 6:24 p.m. — Aaron L. Thomas, 22, of Ohio City, was charged with misdemeanor theft for allegedly taking boots from the local Rural King store, 811 Fox Road.

February 24, 8:48 p.m. — John A. Ashbaugh, 39, of 612 Congress St., was charged with possession of marijuana as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street.

February 26, 12:58 p.m. — The theft of auto parts, including 500 Chevrolet engineer heads, was reported at Brown’s Auto Sales, 1105 E. Main St.

February 25, 11:44 a.m. — Damage was reported to the van of Pentecostal Way Church, 1213 Leeson Ave.

February 24, 6:15 p.m. — A resident of the 700 block of West Main Street reported that someone spray-painted graffiti on his box truck.
