Halfway through the third nine weeks, students are pushing forward to wrap it up strongly. The Ohio Graduation Tests are coming up for the sophomores, and it is a big topic in the classroom of 10th grade students. They’ve been working hard in Knight Time in order to do well on the test. Sophomore Kameron Grubaugh said, “The teachers have done a great job in getting us ready.  I think I speak for my class when I say we’re pretty well prepared.”

Sophomores aren’t the only ones working hard to prepare for something.  The junior class has been teaming up and getting prom ready to go.  Juniors have formed committees and are really working as a team to make this year’s prom the best one yet. Junior Mariah Henry said, “I’m excited to see how it’ll turn out with us having it at Willow Bend.  I think Willow Bend has done a great job in cooperating with us so far and it should be a great night!”

The students involved in the FFA had a great time last week during FFA week.  Monday was dirt pudding day, Tuesday was the Chili Cook-Off (Won by junior Alex Brown), Wednesday was pizza day, Thursday although being cancelled the students still had their famous FFA breakfast, and lastly, Friday was drive your tractor to school day.  Senior Jordan Miller said, “It went really well. I think it was a huge success, compared to last year when we cancelled 3 of the 5 days.” Junior Adam Schumm said, “The best part was the FFA breakfast, and then school being cancelled! We all had a great time.”

The girls’ basketball team ended their season this past weekend in a sectional loss to Delphos Jefferson. The Lady Knights ended their season with a record of 12-9. Congratulations to the girls on a great season.

The Crestview boys’ basketball team has had a hard week of practice to prepare themselves for the Sectional Championship game tomorrow night. The game will be held at Van Wert High School at 6:15 p.m. The Knights ended their regular season with an outstanding record of 15-5. Best of luck to the team as they begin their tournament run.

The Scholastic Bowl Team also went to Lima Bath Monday and placed second in their pool and third overall.  The team put forth a great effort and showed much teamwork as they continued the Crestview tradition.
