Amy Elizabeth Voltz Cox Huls

Amy Elizabeth “Betty” Voltz Cox Huls of Spanish Fork, Utah, died at her residence on October 24, 2011.

She was born April 12, 1913, in Willshire Township, Van Wert County, the second of 10 children. On January 21, 1942, she married Frank Marion Cox, who preceded her in death in 1949. On October 1, 1992, she married Durwood “Woody” Huls in Provo, Utah, and he also preceded her in death in 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Patience (Dennis) Bernards of Spanish Fork, Utah; siblings Maryhelen (Lowell) Barnes of Pendleton, Ind., Mae Neate of Portage, Winifred Frey of Willshire, and Ivan Voltz of Ohio City; sisters-in-law, Edith Voltz of Van Wert and Melba Voltz of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Siblings Alice, Carl, LoAnn, Fred and Alfred also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, at Cowan and Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Greenbrier Cemetery.

Calling hours are an hour prior to the funeral Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) or a charity of donor’s choice.
