Storm uproots tree

Fortunately, this huge tree on Elm Street, just north of the Webster Avenue intersection, was one of the few casualties locally from the violent thunderstorms that swept through the area on Wednesday. No major damage was reported, while American Electric Power reported just seven customers affected by the storm in Van Wert. (Dave Mosier/Van Wert independent)
