Marjorie M. Bursey

Marjorie M. “Midge” Bursey, 88, of Ohio City, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born February 2, 1922, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of the late William and Mary J. (Fitzgerald) Scanlon.

Ms. Bursey was an accountant and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert.

Survivors include the daughter she never had, Jo (Bob) Sweet of Ohio City; and her granddaughters, Emily Lahr and Lexie Cross. She was also blessed with many special friends in the community.

A son, David Bursey, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at a later date, with Father Mike Zacharias officiating.

Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert is handling the arrangements.
