Nominations are needed for this week’s Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week award.

Area fall sports coaches and athletic directors are encouraged to send nominations via email to sports@thevwindependent.com by 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

One name will be picked and the winner will be featured on Friday’s Sports page.
