Raynie M. Rayer-Wilson, 15, of rural Ohio City, died Saturday evening.

She was born August 16, 2002, in DuPont Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Vickie M. (Cochensparger) Rayer and Jeffrey S. Wilson, who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by her grandparents, Michael J. and Edna (Muter) Semer of rural Ohio City; her twin sister, Rylie Rayer-Wilson of rural Ohio City and four other sisters, Nicole M. (Curt) Moore of Rossville, Indiana,  Brandie J. (Bill) Combs of Ligonier Indiana, Angie (Chris) Frost of Van Wert, and Hunter A.M. Rayer of Ligonier. Her great-grandparents, David and Peg Stuckey of Van Wert, also survive, along with her stepmother, Nancy Wilson.

In addition, she is survived by aunts Deborah E. (Armando) Alba of Van Wert, Pam and Tammy; uncles Gary, Roger, and Vince; “special” nieces, Maekayla and Karlee; nephews Nathan Moore of Rossville, Indiana, Ian Frost of Van Wert, and Logan Friesner of Grover Hill; and a cousin, Maekenzie E. Alba of Van Wert.

A paternal grandmother, Jo Ann Jackson; a paternal grandfather, Garry Wilson; a maternal great-grandfather, James Semer; and Ashley and Mable Muter, and a brother, Jefery “JJ ” Rayer, also preceded her in death.

Raynie was a member of the freshman class at Van Wert High School, played flute in the VWHS Band, and sang in the VWHS Choir. She was a cheerleader  for Upward basketball and Van Wert Middle School.

She was a member of the youth group of First United Brethren in Christ Church in Van Wert. She loved animals and art, and anything to do with art, especially drawing, painting, and music.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dr. Jody Harr officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. 

Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
