PLC Clinic dinner raises nearly $60,000

The PLC Health Clinic held its annual banquet fundraiser this past Sunday at Willow Bend Country Club in Van Wert.

The keynote address was given by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted. Secretary Husted talked about his own adoption story and related it to the importance of clinics like the PLC.

Executive Director Trina Langdon spoke about the effectiveness of the clinic since opening in September.    With nearly 200 people in attendance, the PLC was able to raise nearly $60,000. The PLC Health Clinic is a non-profit organization and is100-percent locally funded through fundraisers and individual giving. The clinic offers free pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasound, and STD testing for men and women, as well as educational, emotional, and material support to anyone in need of its services.
