The mobile food pantry will be set up at Trinity Friends Church, 605 N Franklin St., and Life House Church, 719 Fox Road in Van Wert, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20. Food will be distributed by the students until 12:30 or until it is gone.

Eligibility requirements include the following:

Individuals must be at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, reside in Van Wert County, have a valid photo ID, and sign a self-declaration Eligibility to Take Food Home Form (the form is provided at the food pantry that day).

Recipients are asked to bring a bag or box to carry items home.

West Ohio Food Bank is the largest food distribution system in West Ohio coordinating, collecting, warehousing, and distributing food. The food bank secures donations from national food and grocery manufacturers, retailers, shippers, packers, and growers and from government agencies, individuals, and other organizations.

It, in turn, distributes food and grocery items, ensuring the safe storage and reliable distribution of goods to local food pantries and meal programs that served over 5 million meals to children, families, seniors, and other groups at risk of hunger.
