Bradley E. Cashel

Bradley E. Cashel, 57, of Van Wert, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Van Wert.  He was born June 26, 1960, in Van Wert, the son of Myron E. “Mike” and June J. (Clutter) Cashel, who both survive in Van Wert.

Brad owned his own precision fabrication business and drag racing was his passion. He was a member of the Chip Ganassi Racing Team when it won the 2000 Indianapolis 500. Brad was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and was a 1978 graduate of Lincolnview High School.  Brad loved animals, especially his dog GiGi.

He is also survived by a brother, Rick (Lisa) Cashel of Convoy; one sister, Vicki (Steven) Chavarria of Van Wert; and a longtime special friend, Randi McVoy of Van Wert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dr. Jody Harr officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
