Gorman is the Student Athlete of the Week

Lincolnview High School senior basketball player Olivia Gorman has been chosen as this week’s Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week. The 5-7 guard is a three year starter, a second team All-NWC selection for the 2017-2018 season and she maintains a 3.62 grade point average. “She is a leader on and off the floor,” Lincolnview head coach Dan Williamson said. Coaches and athletic directors may nominate student athletes for the weekly award by e-mailing sports@thevwindependent.com.
