Motycka, Gregory lead C’view past WT

HAVILAND — Paige Motycka finished with 25 points and Crestview outscored Wayne Trace in each of the four quarters en route to a 57-33 non-conference win on Monday night.

The victory extended Crestview’s winning streak to nine games and it ended Wayne Trace’s 13 game winning streak.

The Lady Knights led 16-11 at end of the first quarter and 27-18 at halftime. Crestview outscored the hosts 17-9 in the third period and led 45-27 entering the final period.

Along with Motycka’s 25 points and nine rebounds, Lexi Gregory scored 17.

As a team, the Lady Knights finished 23 of 51 (45 percent) from the floor, while holding Wayne Trace to 11 of 41 (26 percent) shooting. Crestview enjoyed a 25-20 advantage on the boards.

Crestview (15-6) will play at Spencerville on Thursday, while Wayne Trace (18-3) will host Tinora.
