Lancers compete at the Spartan Invite

LIMA — The Lincolnview Lancers finished 16th out of 17 teams at the Spartan Wrestling Invitational held at Lima Senior High School on Saturday.

Leading the Lancers was Luke Bullinger (113 pounds), who went 2-3 on the day and placed fourth.

In the opening round, Bullinger pinned Max Sell of St. Marys in 1:41. Bullinger went on to pin Spencerville’s Grayson Ford in 2:13 in the second round, but Bullinger lost a major decision (16-5) to Greenville’s Drayk Kellenberger in the third round.

The senior was pinned in the consolation bracket by Brandon Hahn of Eastwood (4:31), then lost by an injury default to finish fourth.

Lincolnview’s Brok Bill (170) was pinned by Jacob Emorine of Van Buren at the 1:26 mark of the first round, then was pinned by Brandon Rhodes of Wauseon in 20 seconds.

Louis Ulery (182) lost a 6-3 decision to Sidney Lehman Catholic’s Sam Young.

Also competing for the Lancers: David Parsons (285), who was pinned by Adam Bailey of Ada in 49 seconds, then was pinned by Jaheim Jones of Toledo Rogers in 3:57.

Little Miami won the team title with 306.5 points, followed by Eastwood (213), St. Marys (147) Wauseon (146.5) and Paulding and Van Buren (T-5th, 130 points).
