Patricia J. Ward

Patricia J. Ward, 73, of Van Wert, died at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday January 30, 2018, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born May 4, 1944, in Van Wert, the daughter of Wilbur and Sara (Clark) Adams, who both preceded her in death. On September 2, 1967, she married Richard L. Ward, who survives in Van Wert.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Dr. Melissa Bowman of Convoy and Miranda (Adam) Garcia of Lima; a brother, Dr. Robert (Deb) Adams of Van Wert; a sister, Sherrill (Tom) Giessler of Madison, Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Jacob Bowman, Scott Bowman, Autumn Garcia, and Christian Garcia.

She is a retired art teacher from the Paulding Exempted Village Schools. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed reading.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
