Bullinger wins 4th at Van Buren Invite

VAN BUREN — Lincolnview’s Luke Bullinger took fourth place at the 29 team Van Buren Invitational on Saturday.

In the opening round the 113 pounder defeated Cross Felter of Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic 12-5, then followed up with a 13-10 victory over Grant Young of Van Buren.

From there, Bullinger faced top seeded Chase Caprella of Allen East and was pinned in 2:51, but battled back to defeat Jonathan Patterson of New Bremen 12-9.

In the final round, Bullinger lost by technical fall (16-0) to Carey’s Reece Mullholand to finish 3-2 on the day.

Swanton won the Invite with 225 points, while Lincolnview finished 28th with 12 points.
