Van Wert Police

December 23, 6:25 p.m. — Jason L. Mathews, 43, of 1145-D Bell Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct as a result of an incident at Van Wert County Hospital. Mathews was also arrested on a charge of theft for allegedly stealing a knife from the Orchard Tree Restaurant in Van Wert.

December 24, 3:31 p.m. — Cody V. Lippi, no age listed, of Van Wert, was charged with theft for an alleged shoplifting incident at the local Walmart store.

December 23, 10:21 a.m. — An employee of the Murphy USA service station reported a vehicle pumped gasoline totaling $41.66 over several visits to the station and then failed to pay for the gasoline.

December 22, 11:20 a.m. — An employee of the Sav-A-Lot store on South Shannon Street reported the the store had received a number of fraudulent checks.

December 20, 9:29 p.m. — Elijah L. Staude, 20, of 233 Thistlewood Court, Apt. 662, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation issued on behalf of the Van Wert County Adult Probation Department. He was also charged with possession of marijuana after he was allegedly found in possession of that drug when arrested.

December 20, 9:28 a.m. — Skye A. Craft, 20, of 208 S. Lynn St., was cited for disorderly conduct while officers were conducting an investigation into a domestic violence incident five hours earlier. During that investigation, Eric D. Bowers, 31, also of that address, was charged with domestic violence, while Craft was also cited for underage consumption of alcohol.

December 19, 6:05 p.m. — Christopher R. Bird, 40, of 150 Garden Drive, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation issued on behalf of the Adult Probation Department.

December 6, 10:50 a.m. — Elizabeth A. Currie-Stevens, 43, of 410 W. Jackson St., reported that several packages were stolen from her mailbox.

December 14, 12:59 p.m. — A trailer valued at nearly $3,600 was reported stolen from the Custom Audio Concepts store, 1196 Westwood Drive.

December 12, 9:53 a.m. — Michael D. Grunden, 22, of Cecil, was arrested on an outstanding warrant while in the 700 block of South Shannon Street.

December 13, 11:43 a.m. — Jamie L. Phillips, 20, of 1133 W. Main St., Apt. 11, was given a tour summons.

Delphos Police

December 24, no time listed — Garry Cooper, 56, of Delphos, was charged with domestic violence, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, following an incident in the 600 block of West Clime Street.

December 22, no time listed — Brice Metzger, 18, of Delphos, was charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his sister during an altercation between the two siblings.
